Jan Luyken
Jan Luyken, or Jan Luijken was born in Amsterdam on April 16, 1649.
He became a poet, illustrator and engraver and was a important etcher after Rembrandt van Ryn. His book "Het Menselyk Bedryf" is the most known, it contains engravings depicting trades and crafts from the 17th century.
Also he illustrated the edition of the "Martyrs Mirror" in 1685.
Jan Luyken died in his home town Amsterdam on April 5, 1712.
